SPA at home: a guide to organising a moment of relaxation

The week has been punctuated by numerous appointments and meetings, and you're feeling the need to relax. Why not treat yourself to a moment of relaxation? There's no need to go to an institute, just read this article to create a SPA atmosphere at home.

Creating a spa atmosphere

The first thing to do to put yourself in the right frame of mind is, of course, to put away all your electronic devices: mobile phone, tablet, connected watch, etc. Any distraction is a good thing to put aside for this moment of relaxation.

Once you've disconnected, you can create a pleasant atmosphere in your bathroom. Music is an important element not to be neglected: choose soft melodies or the sounds of nature, for example. This background music will help you relax and put you in your own bubble.

To complete the soothing ambience, take out your candles and place them around your bath or in different parts of the room to create a relaxing atmosphere.

Taking care of your body

You've created your spa at home, now it's time to relax, pamper and pamper yourself.

1. The hair

Pampering yourself for a few hours is a great way to take care of your body. It's the perfect time to look after your hair.

2. Le visage

Why not start with a steam treatment? There's nothing more effective than a facial steam bath to open up the skin's pores.

The steps:

  • Bring the equivalent of two glasses of water to the boil,
  • After transferring the water to a large bowl, place your face on top and leave for a few moments.
  • After about 10 minutes, your pores will be open and your skin will be ready to receive its treatments.

You can now move on to the next stage: exfoliation.

This step cleanses, unclogs pores and gently eliminates dead skin cells. The Crème Exfoliante Hydra-fraîcheur is a fresh, creamy scrub that restores the complexion's luminosity and leaves the skin smooth and hydrated.

Then apply your usual serum, not forgetting a moisturiser suited to your skin type.

3. The body

Take advantage of this moment to relax in a nice bubble bath (the ideal temperature is 37°). A hot shower will be just as effective if you don't have a bath at home.

Apply to the body before showering or pour 2 capfuls into the bath. Draining Body Oil from the Bain Originel range is a micellar oil that transforms into a milky veil on contact with water. It contains essential oils such as geranium, lemon and cedar to improve cell regeneration, moisturise and firm. A cocktail of freshness !

Thanks to the effects of heat and steam, it's time to exfoliate your body. Scrub Littoral is a scrub with sea salt and essential oils for use on dry skin. Very creamy, it gently exfoliates and provides the skin with the minerals and trace elements essential for its beauty. After gently massaging your body, rinse and dry well.

Finally, apply Lait du Jardin Marin. It moisturises and nourishes the skin without leaving a sticky residue, and leaves a delicate fragrance on the skin. The skin is left soft and supple.

Treat yourself to a moment of relaxation at home. Organising a spa at home allows you to get back in touch with yourself and do something good for your body and mind. Preparing a hot bath, a relaxing atmosphere and pampering yourself - there's nothing like pampering yourself at home!
