Can I receive samples without placing an order ?

What if I've forgotten my password ?

If you have forgotten your password, you can click on “forgot password”. If the issues persist, we can send you a predefined password that you can modify later.

I forgot my username or email address, how do I do ?

If you have forgotten your username, you can click on "forgotten username", if the problem persists you can contact us at digital@altercosmeto.fr  so that we can give you a new username that you can change later. We will do our best to help you.

DELIVERY 

Can I change my delivery address ?

If you entered the wrong delivery address, it may still be possible for us to update it depending on the stage of processing in our warehouse. If it hasn’t been processed yet, we can make the necessary updates. However, if the treatment has already started, we will not be able to make any changes. How do I track my package ?

As soon as the order is validated and prepared in our warehouse in Brittany, you will receive a shipping confirmation email, on which you will find a La Poste tracking number. You can then track your package on the following website Suivre une lettre, un Colissimo ou un envoi Chronopost - La Poste

What if haven't received my package ?

If your package is marked as delivered but you haven’t received it, we invite you to check the delivery notes. Your package may have been left in a safe place such as your neighbour’s or at a local depot.

What happens if I'm not at home ?

In the event that your package cannot be inserted into your mailbox or requires a signature on delivery, the delivery service will leave a delivery notice. This notice will provide you with information about the current location of your package and the steps to retrieve it.

How long does it take to receive my order ? 

We strive to ensure that you receive your package as quickly as possible. Colissimo orders are delivered within 48 hours (business days) in Metropolitan France.

You should receive your order within 2 to 4 business days after its validation. During peak periods or special offers, order processing may take longer. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Do you deliver to Pick-up & Go location ?

We offer delivery to the post offices, Pickup points and Pickup Station lockers (Colissimo Points de Retrait).

Do you deliver internationally ?

Yes, we do deliver internationally. (Exception: North Korea)

MY ORDER 

Your order is incomplete ?

We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience. We invite you to contact the after-sale service : (Contact us (algologie.com))  and drop us a note with your order number. We will do our best to send you the missing product(s) as soon as possible!

I have just received my order but a product is broken or defective. 

If the package has been opened and/or is damaged, you must check it and if you do not want to accept it as is, you must reject it within 48 business following its receipt. Please note that you should not open the package. It will then be returned to us by the carrier. Contact our after-sale service : (Contact us (algologie.com)). If you accept the package, we will not be able to proceed with your complaint

If the package appeared to be in good condition, and you accepted it but later realized it is not, you will need the following elements to support your complaint. 

-  In the case of a damaged or broken product : a picture of the entire package and its label, the picture of the inside of the package and of the damaged product

-  In the case of an incomplete or non-compliant package : the picture of the entire package, its label and a picture of the package’s contents.

Can I change the content of my order ?

Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to add or remove one or more products from your order once it has been placed. However, you can contact the after-sale service if the order has not yet been prepared.  (Contact us (algologie.com))  

Can I cancel my order ?

Your order cannot be canceled as it is currently in transit.

In order for us to process a refund, you will need to wait until you receive your product and then return it at your expense to the address provided on the package. Once it’s returned to the sender, your purchase can be refunded to you.

How can I track my order ? 

As soon as the order is validated and prepared in our warehouse in Brittany, you will receive a shipping confirmation email. This email will contain a La Poste tracking number. RETURNS AND REFUNDS 

A product doesn't suit me, can I have it refunded or exchanged  ?

Upon receiving your order, you have a period of 14 days to return, at your expense, the item(s) you wish to refund. To ensure the return is accepted, please make sure that the product(s) are in perfect condition, in their original packaging, unopened and unused. Also, make sure to return any associated gifts.

Once the product(s) is accepted, we will proceed to the corresponding refund.

How to know the active ingredients of a product ? 

We list the key active ingredients of each product on its product page. We invite you to directly check the product page in the «Active ingredients» section. You can also consult the complete list of ingredients on the product page.

Which active ingredients are blacklisted ?

Our products are formulated with 0% PEG, PARABENS, MINERAL OIL, PHTHALATE, PHENOXYETHANOL AND SILICONE. Find out why here : Algologie, a Breton brand of marine cosmetics - Algologie

Are the products of natural origin ?

Our formulations achieve up to 100% natural origin. They are carefully crafted, eliminating any controversial ingredients such as endocrine disruptors, irritants and allergens. We use well-known and recognized natural actives, precisely dosed for maximum effectiveness. 

What are the remaining percentages ?

We formulate with an average of 95% natural origin ingredients. The remaining 5% consists of sensory agents, primarily texturizer, and formula protection agents that ensure the stability and safety of the products.

A product has a bad rating on a beauty application ?

Beauty apps allow you to find out more about a product and give a rating based on the list of ingredients. Please note that these applications do not take into account the dosage of active ingredients.

A product may receive a poor rating because the app has blacklisted an ingredient. However, we adhere to the European Cosmetics Directive, and all our products are formulated in accordance with this regulation and are validated by an independent expert toxicologist. 

We prioritize strict compliance with regulations to ensure consumer safety. For example, we might receive lower ratings because natural essential oils are sometimes negatively rated by these apps.

Nevertheless, we are proactively working to improve our formulas and our packaging. This is why our formulas are constantly evolving to meet the needs of our consumers.

I had an allergic reaction to a product, what should I do ?

We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience. We invite you to contact the after-sale service via the contact form. Please do not discard the product, as it will be requested.

We recommend that you stop using this product and seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist.

I am allergic to iodine, can I use the products ? 

Our products are formulated with the appropriate concentration of seaweed extracts, and pure seawater. They are all assessed by an independent expert toxicologist. However, iodine dosages are not performed according to the percentages of seaweed extracts used in our formulas and the study of scientific publications that report a very low absorption of iodine by the skin.

For the majority of consumers, there is no risk in using our cosmetic products based on seaweed extracts on healthy skin because the iodine intake is considered to be very low compared to food.

However, if you are suffering from a pathology or presenting a sensitivity to iodine, you can ask your doctor by communicating the above information to her/him before using our products for a medical advice.

Are the products not recommended during pregnancy / breastfeeding ?

Our products can be used during pregnancy and are not incompatible with breastfeeding. 

However, if you have any doubts or specific medical conditions, we advise you to consult your doctor.

Do the products contain alcohol ?

Our products are formulated without alcohol (ethanol)

Do the products contain silicone ? 

No, none of our products contain silicone.

The products can be used by children ?

The tolerance of our skincare has been assessed by our independent expert toxicologist on children aged 10 and over.

Do the products contain allergens ? 

Some of our skincare may contain allergens because they are formulated with essential oils, or with natural perfumes which contain allergens (notably on our body products or the Jardin Marin range).

Do the products have a strong smell of the sea ?

Algologie products are formulated enchanting, ultra-sensory fragrances. Unique scents that evoke a stroll through the Breton dunes.

Are the products comedogenic ?

We have a strict formulation charter that excludes occlusive substances known to promote the appearance of blemishes (such as PEGs, silicones or mineral oils).

What is the expiration date of my products ? How long can I use my products ? 

The shelf life of a product is determined by the Period After Opening (PAO) date indicated on the packaging. For example, if you see a pictogram with "12M", it means you can use the product for up to 12 months after opening.

How are tested Algologie skincare ?

During development, our products undergo an initial evaluation by an independent toxicology expert to validate safety for use. Their tolerance is then tested on the forearms of our volunteers under dermatological supervision. Subsequently, their effectiveness is tested to validate the claims. We conduct various types of tests depending on the claims, either consumer satisfaction tests, clinical tests with scoring or instrumental measurements.

Where are produced Algologie skincare ? 

We are fortunate to have our own laboratories and production facilities located in Britanny, surrounded by the sea, on a unique and protected site. As a result, all our products are 100% Made in France, 100% Made in Brittany.

Do Algologie packaging is sustainable ? 

Our packaging is recyclable (boxes, bottles, tubes, jars) and comes without unnecessary instructions. We are constantly working on increasingly eco-friendly solutions, prioritizing recycled materials and the use of FSC certified cardboard and paper.
