Meeting Blanche and Léaubleue...

Measuring out just the right amount of water, pressing the brush more or less firmly, being careful not to overdo it, waiting for it to dry and starting all over again… Watercolour painting is no easy task!

But with Blanche, nothing could be simpler. Meticulous and luminous, Blanche is just like her watercolours. We fell under the spell of her paintings, with their thousand bluish petals, and decided to share them with you.

Brittany, flowers, a little water, colour and a few brushstrokes: this is Blanche’s world. Fascinated by plants from an early age, when she spent her days at her grandparents’ plant nursery, the young Breton watercolour artist decided to set up her own business, Leaubleue, in 2018.

And yes, the plants of Brittany aren’t only used to make your Algologie creams… they are also an endless source of inspiration for young artists like Blanche :)

Blanche’s idea: making watercolour accessible to everyone

Before devoting herself entirely to watercolour painting, Blanche worked as a fashion stylist and textile designer. Creative, independent and deeply inspired by her native Brittany, she left the major ready-to-wear brands behind to return to the land of her childhood and create her own brand, Leaubleue.

But Blanche is anything but a solitary artist! She has one goal in mind: sharing her watercolour techniques and her passion for botany with as many people as possible. She offers introductory watercolour workshops in Brittany, in Vannes and Rennes, as well as online via social media.
