What is Porphyridium Cruentum ?
This drop-shaped micro-algae contains numerous nutrients. Omega 3, Omega 6, amino acids and carotenoids are just a few examples.
This algae has the particularity of thriving even in extreme conditions. Its shell protects it from all marine aggressions such as salt, heat and light. What's more, it can live at depths of up to 250 metres.
Today, Porphyridium Cruentum is cultivated by humans in dedicated tanks, at a temperature of between 20 and 25°C.

Porphyridium Cruentum is rich in proteins, β-Phycoerythrin pigments and Exopolysaccharides.
The β-Phycoerythrin pigments are what give the seaweed its red colour. Paradoxically, they are a powerful anti-redness agent.
Exopolysaccharides improve the skin's resistance and elasticity.
